Network Operations Center Field Technician

Description:MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s Degree
1-3 years network technical experience preferred
Experience in Computer Systems
Navajo speaking preferred
Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Project Management, and Outlook)
Requires a Valid Driver’s License (subject to motor vehicle review)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES:
Install, maintain, monitor, analyze, and troubleshoot Layer – 1 and Layer – 2 Network equipment and software in support of center operations.
Provide analyses of automation challenges and problems regarding the center.
Assist with developing and identifying technical solutions responsive to the needs of the center.
Ensure information reporting on network equipment, status, and problem areas.
Follow procedures, policies, and technical solutions in the center that affects the customers.
Participate in planning and execution of hardware installations, cabling, and other operations relating to the network systems and/or customers.
Ability to apply general knowledge of network and computer processes, technologies and systems in support of project team and customer issues/requests and completion of assignments.
Responsible for resolving production incidents by working with internal and external technology support organizations.
Performs initial tier 1 troubleshooting techniques in attempt to resolve incidents. Escalates using official escalation procedures when appropriate.
Responsible for managing service requests and executing standard changes with minimal supervision.
Ticket management. Open, update, and close incidents. Communicates status to associates/management via approved communication processes.
Follows structured method of procedures and change management processes.
Maintain and submit reporting on inspections, service visits, service issues, and site security.
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
